Whitecode Consulting has delivered Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Heating (MEPH) design consulting, and conducted a Building Research Establishment Energy Assessment Method (BREEAM) evaluation for a vibrant mixed-use development in Greenwich that includes residential and commercial spaces.

Nestled in Norman Road, Greenwich, Valegro Apartments is an unparalleled development that offers high-quality commercial spaces on the ground level, followed by 11 floors of luxury residential dwellings that offer sweeping panoramic views of surrounding London. The opulent apartments come in one, two and three-bedroom options and boast a balcony or roof terrace in every unit, built to the highest of specifications. There are 63 apartments in total, with a selection being available through the Help to Buy scheme for first-time buyers.

Whitecode Consulting collaborated with client Purelake to achieve a cohesive, energy-efficient design on this new-build residential development. Whitecode was selected due to the firm’s stellar industry reputation for delivering exceptional designs, coupled with its expertise in sustainability, which made them a natural choice for this project.

Whitecode commenced its MEP and BREEAM services for the Norman Road project in May 2021. With a team of versatile engineers who are experts in all aspects of MEPH design, Whitecode Consulting provided invaluable guidance from the conceptual stages through to the finalisation of the project, ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, engineering and plumbing elements were expertly coordinated and optimised for maximum efficiency.

In keeping with the project’s focus on sustainability, Whitecode Consulting was engaged to provide expert consultancy on obtaining BREEAM certification, the globally recognised standard for assessing a building’s environmental performance. Whitecode Consulting conducts a range of measures to ensure BREEAM compliance on a project, including energy assessments and thermal comfort modelling. By doing so, Whitecode guaranteed that the residential development was not only sustainable but also future-proofed for further regulations.
